Art for Hunger

Creativity, food, and community are deeply connected in my life. I believe that everyone deserves access to nourishing food, and Art for Hunger is just a small way that I can weave together art, compassion, and action into something that directly supports my (and your!) community.

I have partnered with Family Kitchen in Bend, Oregon and the Food Justice Coalition in SLC, Utah to increase awareness and raise funds for the wonderful work that they do. I have previously worked closely with Family Kitchen via the High Desert Food and Farm Alliance (check out their work, too!) to provide weekly produce donations directly from local farms, and from vendors at the Bend Farmer’s Market, and have followed the Food Justice Coalition since their inception in 2020, often utilizing their free meal distributions in particularly difficult financial times. I cannot express enough my gratitude for the hot, nutrient packed meals I received from them.

While awareness and monetary donations are just a small contribution at the moment, I hope that with an expanded audience, I will be able to build a meaningful and effective program that fights food insecurity by increasing access to healthy, nutrient dense, and delicious food for the people in our communities.

Thank you for your continued support.
